Matsuba Kiln has announced its year-end studio opening days. Visitors will be able to view selected works, ask about pottery lessons and purchase small handmade pieces suitable for winter gifts.
Genjiro Matsuba will hold an autumn exhibition titled Quiet Forms at Matsuba Kiln. The exhibition will present new tea bowls, everyday vessels and flower vases created with warm earth tones and subtle natural textures.
Private pottery lessons are now available for the summer season. These one-on-one sessions are recommended for visitors who would like a quieter experience or more personal guidance from Genjiro Matsuba.
Matsuba Kiln will take part in this year’s Mashiko Craft Market. Visitors will be able to see a selection of handmade bowls, cups, plates and vases, as well as a small display introducing the pottery lessons held at the studio.
Genjiro Matsuba has released a new seasonal collection titled Earth After Rain. The series features tea bowls, plates and small vases inspired by the deep colors of wet clay and the quiet atmosphere after spring rain.
Reservations are now open for the spring pottery workshops at Matsuba Kiln. This season’s lessons will focus on small bowls, cups and simple everyday vessels shaped by hand and finished with natural glazes.
